Kayla Dungee

In 2nd grade, I won the Excellence in Language Arts award at the year's closing ceremony. It was a pretty big deal.

My teacher greeted my mom before we left and promised her that I was going to become a writer. She might have had a point.

I am a Georgia State University alumna, with a BA in Multimedia Journalism and a minor in Spanish & Latin American Studies. A native of New York City that transplanted to Atlanta, I cultivated a love of telling stories from being immersed in a world of different cultures and experiences. 

I recently graduated from Boston University with a MS in Journalism in May 2022.
